Vesele Vanoce ...
Dear Radka and III.A!
The most important thing that has been going on during this period of
time,
is of course that we have entered the Christmas month.
Presents have to be bought, decorations have to be made and the
annual
Christmas party of the class is to be held.
But it is not only in our spare time we meet the Christmas spirit.
Also in
school do we find a Christmas tree decorated with hearts and
paper-chains,
and every Tuesday, when we have our assembly, various Christmas songs
are
sung
and sketches are shown.
This year it is the assembly committee, which I am a member of, that
is in
charge of the entertainment.

For example we have made a Christmas elf
dance or read aloud from the famous Danish Christmas book "Peters
jul"(Peter's
Christmas).
But school is more than having fun, also during Christmas. Right now
we
have a lot of assignments, and we are soon going to do a project on
WW2.
I guess there is nothing more to say but I hope you are enjoying the
Christmas month as much as we are.

Dear Radka and III.A! here the diary, this time written by Jacob
I am quite ashamed on behalf of my country of the many right wing
anti
foreigner votes given to dansk folkeparti, but this is of course also
part
of democracy, and unfortunately the former government , who had
actually
achieved some very good results, were not able to convince the
electors.
I am not so sad about a change in government, though, sometimes a
change can
be refreshing, but the election campaign has been pretty dirty this
time and
the future looks worrying. good that the opposition has a lot of
members
and that the small parties tend to vote according to issue and not
specifically partywise in the FOLKETING.
Hope we won't all be judged by the same standards
Greetings from Wivian

Anders Fog Rasmussen, the new Danish Liberal prime minister in coalition with the Conservatives. He took office today after having appointed all his new ministers.
Read what Jacob has to say about it:
On the 20th of November 2001
the Danes stood before 3 big decisions. On that day there were 3 elections. I do not think you can prioritise them and say which one is the most important, but the one the foreign press finds the most interesting, is the general election where the prime minister is elected. The 2 other elections are: the local election and the county council election.
I must say that the last
3 weeks of the election campaign at the 3 elections have been very confusing. And it wasn’t until about 2 days before the elections I made up my mind. In the political campaign there were all sorts of ways, the politicians tried to convince us to vote for them. The party which grew the most in the polls the last few months, was the Danish folk party. This was caused by the party's demands for fewer refugees , which has made them the 3. biggest party with 22 seats in Parliament out of 179.
Now that it was the first time I could vote, I felt obligated to be as certain as possible which party I wanted to support by voting for it. So I went to a couple of election meetings and saw a bunch of TV-debates about the upcoming election.
The Danish Liberals won the general election. This means that the "socialists" have to resign from their leading positions. And unfortunately my vote wasn’t enough to keep the Liberals from power.
